Transformation of travel journalism in historical perspective

The work is devoted to the analysis of the evolution and development of travel journalism from a historical perspective. The purpose of the study is to identify the key stages and transformations that define this direction in the context of changing social, technological and cultural conditions. The article covers the time interval from the origins of travel literature to the present, considering the influence of such factors as the development of transport and increasing accessibility of travel, globalization and digitalization. The work used a number of general scientific and special methods, in particular, the theoretical-typological method and the method of historical analysis. Based on the research, conclusions are drawn about the importance of travel journalism as a form of cultural expression and a research tool, emphasizing its role in shaping ideas about the world and its influence on the perception of history and culture. The results obtained enrich the understanding of the evolution of this direction and provide the basis for a more in-depth analysis of the influence of travel journalism on the formation of cultural norms and worldviews.
