This article provides a detailed analysis of the historical aspects of the development of the literary review genre in the Chinese media system as an important instrument of influence in society. Based on the analysis of the role of mass media in shaping public consciousness and the cultural context of China, the key stages of literary review formation as a genre are highlighted, starting with classical Chinese literature and philosophy, and ending with its transformation in the context of digitalization and globalization. Special attention is paid to the impact of social and political changes on literary criticism in the 20th century, as well as current trends in the use of social media and digital platforms to promote reviews. The article also notes the gradual but significant transition of Chinese journalism from strict state control to greater freedom and independence. The factors contributing to this development are investigated, and attention is drawn to the fact that this process has become possible due to the development of information technology. The author emphasizes that the media in general, and literary reviews in particular, not only inform society, but also shape the taste of readers, influence literary trends and cultural enrichment. The genre of literary review is analyzed as a tool for evaluating literature, forming public opinion and cultural dialogue. The development of the literary review genre is closely linked to the growth of social media and Internet technologies.References
