Abstract

The goal of the article is to determine the attitude of the Russian audience towards the work of artificial intelligence, including in the field of mass media. The method of questioning was applied in the form of a sociological survey of the audience (N=500). The questionnaire included four sections: the respondent's awareness of the work of artificial intelligence in the field of social media, attitudes towards future changes in society due to the development of these technologies, comparison and evaluation of the materials of a robot-journalist and a person, as well as general information about the respondent. Based on the results of the survey, we can talk about the superficial level of awareness among the surveyed audience about the basics of artificial intelligence, as well as the weak use of these technologies in journalism.
