Using robotic content in the implementation of recreational functions of mass media

The article discusses the problems and prospects of using robotic content in the mass media. The use of algorithms for creating news items is actively analyzed in scientific works. However, media robots can also create various entertainment content, but this aspect has not yet received due attention from researchers. "Free creativity" of neural networks in the field of creating music and visual content has gained popularity since the second half of the 2010s, but at the present stage, the technology can also be used to create text entertainment content in the mass media. Automated content that can perform recreational functions includes both simple chatbot technologies and modern neural networks (such as GPT-3) that can create parody content or generate text on demand. The quality of such texts can not yet be considered satisfactory, but the technology is rapidly developing, supported by large global and Russian companies, and is already being used as an experiment in the media and other media projects. At the same time, robotic entertainment content is often used as a tool to attract attention to a media brand.
