Abstract

The presented article is devoted to the description of communicative-pragmatic, as well as linguistic-stylistic features of such a genre of network communication as an Internet forum. The research material was the German-language forums for children and youth. The article examines the topic, architectonics, features of the communicative model that underlie communication on the forum, significantly affecting the linguistic and functional features of this genre. Among the factors that determine the originality of the "Internet forum" genre, there should be noted publicity, anonymity, dialogicity, equality of communicative statuses of Internet users, and the informal sphere of communication. The texts of messages on Internet forums are characterized by genre diversity, represented by both dialogical in nature and monologue speech genres. The topics of the studied forums are generally limited to problems relevant to such age group as children and youth (school and future profession, family relationships, love, friendship, hobbies and interests, personal problems). The language of the studied texts bears the signs of lively spoken communication based on the literary norm of the language. The texts of messages on the forums are multifunctional with a predominance of communicative and informative functions. The documentary nature of messages on the forum presupposes a factual mode of narration.
