This article provides an overview of a monograph published by a team of researchers from the Ural Federal University and devoted to the issues of memory transfer in the context of a general transition of society to digital communication. Having analyzed the book, the author of the review draws attention to the undoubted successes of the team, and also points to problems that are waiting for their solution
