Abstract

The article examines the problem of intolerance using the example of publications of the Yandex.Zen resource. The purpose of the study is to identify the causes of manifestation of intolerance based on the analysis of the content (publications and comments) of the site. The research material was over 500 publications from various channels posted on the Yandex.Zen resource and comments to them (September-December 2020). The analysis revealed the reasons for the manifestation of intolerance when covering socially important issues. The analysis revealed the reasons for the manifestation of intolerance in the coverage of socially important issues: the transfer of intolerant social attitudes by authors from offline life to online into other users; denial by bloggers and commentators of the importance of covering socially significant issues; lack of effective moderation on the resource; creation and development of an online community of authors specializing in deliberate discrimination; provocation by bloggers of readers to manifest intolerance; active cyberbullying of the channel's author by readers.
