Some aspects of science communication local regulation in research organizations

At the level of State legislative regulation, scientific institutions are recognized as organizations entrusted with the functions of popularizing science. The purpose of our study is to establish how the declarations on the popularization of science, laid down in the field of science state legislation, correspond to the real state of affairs, and whether information about this function is reflected in the founding documents of research organizations and with the help of what types of activities its implementation is provided.
The article describes the results of studying the statutes of research institutes of the Novosibirsk Scientific Center of the Siberian Department of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Based on the content analysis of documents identified on the websites of institutions, a list of relevant sustainable expressions used in the importance of activities on interaction of science and society compiled. The most common formulations are: dissemination of scientific knowledge, popularization and promotion of science, scientific knowledge, science and technology.
As a result of the synthesis and systematization of the information received, seven main directions for the popularization of the achievements of science have been allocated; a classification of the main types of promotion of the results of scientific activity used in the Novosibirsk Scientific Center has been developed.
The study showed that more than half of the research institutes of the Novosibirsk Scientific Center are included in the process of science popularization in accordance with the requirements of this activity at the level of state legislation.
