Media SMM: connection of visual and emotional

In the current situation, the journalist is forced to take on the functions of an SMM specialist, developing new skills and skills in working with tools for measuring, monitoring and analyzing the audience of social networks and promoting his own product. These tasks can not be realized without an organic combination of visual and emotional twists. In this connection, the question of what happens to the visual components of media content in the social network space, how their functions and forms change, what types of visual content are most convenient in terms of promoting the publication in social media? The object of the study is the visual content of the public-political mass media in one of the leading social networks of the runet - VKontakte. The empirical base is represented by the materials of the official public of one of the most popular social and political resources of the Russian-speaking Internet segment - the Medusa website. The novelty of the work is determined by the lack of research into the role of visual media content in the process of promoting a journalistic product in the social network.
