The aim of the study is to determine the key factors that shape public perception of neural network and immersive technologies by analyzing the differences between the content of media publications of the Tambov and Voronezh regions on this topic and the opinion of residents of these regions. To study the relevance of the application of neural network and immersive technologies, the publications related to this topic published in Tambov and Voronezh media resources were analyzed. The list for content analysis included the following regional media outlets: Tambov – TV channel Vesti Tambov, newspaper Tambovskaya Zhizn (Tambov Life), online edition Bloknot-Tambov; Voronezh – TV-Gubernia, newspaper Moye!, online edition Bloknot-Voronezh. For the period from January 1, 2023 to January 1, 2025 in each region the media of the corresponding type – TV channel, newspaper and online edition - are analyzed. In order to study the attitude of the regional media audience to the problem of applying neural network and immersive technologies, a survey of residents of the Tambov and Voronezh regions was conducted. The total number of respondents amounted to 300 people: in the Tambov region – 150 people and in the Voronezh region – 150 people. The survey revealed that in both regions a significant part of the population does not use neural network technologies, citing lack of need or lack of knowledge. The media of the Tambov and Voronezh regions actively cover the introduction of neural networks in various spheres of life, however, in the Tambov region, the use of neural networks is more frequent.
