Dissemination of scientific knowledge in the internet space: a communication resource objections
Keywords:
scientific knowledge, objection strategy, popular science discourse, polycode hypermedia textAbstract
The article discusses the features of the functioning of a polycode hypermedia text dedicated to one topic - the dissemination of knowledge about artificial intelligence. Based on the analysis of publications in the popular science publications “Schrödinger’s Cat”, “Postnauka”, as well as posts and comments from the official accounts of these publications and personal pages of users on the social network VKontakte and the Telegram messenger, the main ways of implementing the objection strategy are identified: explanation through refutation; doubt; resistance-rejection (negation). Theoretical foundations of the study: the concept of complex media-linguistic analysis L.R. Duskaeva and the typology of the main functions of linguistic interpretation of scientific knowledge by N. N. Boldyreva and T. N. Efimenko. The study of the professional (journalistic publications) and user (posts, comments) levels of popular science communication made it possible to determine speech tactics and means of implementing the objection strategy, the choice of which is due to the hybrid nature of the discourse, which combines the features of scientific and journalistic.
Acknowledgments: The study was financially supported by the Russian Science Foundation, project No 22-18-00184 “Speech practices of objection and ways to overcome them in popular science media communication”.
