The article examines the genesis of authorship in the history of the development of civilization. Based on the works of philosophers, literary scholars, and cultural experts, an idea is given of authorship as a «cultural invention» of humanity, as well as of the author as a real person with a specific biography and as an aesthetic category (the image of the author). An attempt has been made to consider the role of writing and the printing press in the emergence of author's texts and the further liberation of texts from private authorship, which was facilitated by the invention of radio, TV and the Internet. The emergence of the institution of copyright is presented as a response to the mass circulation of works.
The consequences of the “explosive” liberation of texts from private authorship and the emergence of collective authors of the Internet era: users, bloggers and the authoring public are considered. The article notes that new realities caused by the advent of digital technologies have radically transformed the work of a journalist. The author of the article sees the reason for this in the nature of journalistic authorship, which is based, first of all, on the technology of producing information content, and not on skill. Taking into account the fact that the goal of a journalist is to provide the audience with up-to-date information about obvious and unobvious changes in reality, he must work according to the technological standards and principles of the editorial policy of the publication. Not being the bearer of the author's individuality and not acting as a subject of speech activity, the journalist is more dependent on technology than any other author, therefore he is not a private, but a collective author. The article also examines the changes that have occurred in creative writing, which, with the development of the Internet, becomes interactive in nature, losing its former sacredness and authority.References
